Now Able To Hardware Transcode Using GT 730

Server Version#: 1.21.2.3943
Ubuntu 18.04LTS
Nvidia Driver v.460.32.03

I am assuming the latest Plex server update is the cause of this, but I am now enjoying hardware transcoding of 1080 local broadcast streams using my Nvidia GT 730! Prior to this morning, I was using an AMD CPU for transcoding. For 1080 streams, the CPU usage was at 35% for just one stream. Now, I can stream 4 (at least?) 1080 streams to both Roku and same-network Plex web player using the same amount of CPU usage.

Big difference. Thank you very much, indeed!

A GT 730?!? I mean that thing is ancient! Glad it works

Ya. I bet I got this 5+ years ago. And, I’m usually late to the party anyways. I was surprised that such a card could perform so well (compared to AMD CPU transcoding).

730 isn’t even listed @ Video Encode and Decode GPU Support Matrix [NEW] | NVIDIA Developer so thats pretty amazing it works.

Well, maybe I mis-spoke, but going off the dashboard view:
