Libva 2.0.0 is missing a critical function. If you look at github, you’ll see it was pushed out to 2.1 which is now scheduled to drop 22-Dec-2017.

There is no news on expanding Plex native HW transcoding support to off-CPU configurations with libva. The focus appears to be making HW transcoding more robust in general on the existing QSV base first. This is a logical step (to me) because once all have been implemented to the proper level, expanding support off-CPU is a much easier task when one knows the existing software works on-CPU.
