NVIDIA Shield - Disable HDR / Force HDR Tonemapping to SDR

Hi,
i’ve got a unusual question.

I’m using PLEX Player on an NVIDIA Shield in my home cinema. The Shield is connected to a Sony VPL-VW260 4K projector. If i play an 4K/HDR BluRay, the projector automatically changed to 4K as resolution and enable HDR10. So the system works perfectly fine.

My actual problem is, that the projector is quite dark. I absolutly prefer to playback my movies in SDR. If i disable HDR in the projector, the picture looks more like greyish…

Is there a way to force PLEX to transcode the movie to SDR?

Plex does not tonemap HDR material to SDR (yet).
