Server Version# Version 1.14.1.549:
Player Version# Android 7.13.0.9583
I have a Nvidia Shield TV (16gb with a 128gb class 10 micro sdcard setup as internal storage) that runs my Plex server. Recently I’ve been trying to sync content to my phone and for the most part it works until I try to sync large files (3gb+). It will transcode for awhile then fail (I have a link to the logs if needed but not sure if it’s something I can share publicly).
I am using a NAS as main storage and the Shield has around 12gb of available storage.
Any ideas or guidance on figuring out how to sync larger files would be appreciated!
My files are on a NAS on my local network and when I want to optimize a file with PLEX Media Server on my Nvidia Shield TV, the process starts correctly.
But after several tens of minutes, the Nvidia Shield TV’s RAM consumption is constantly increasing and the process stops.
I have a message telling me that PLEX Media Server failed to optimize the file.
However, it works fine with PLEX Media Server on my NAS but it takes longer.
Same thing can’t do a single 1080p episode of a show sync’d down 720p for my phone. Gets to 50% then fails every time. So mad my plex pass auto renewed a couple months ago. This software is so flaky and sync is the only reason to purchase it.
Also had it disconnect the server and use localhost error today as well.
Make your software do what it is supposed to do we are paying customers. They seem to just hope all us hopeless customers will figure it out.
