Low disk space for sync

Server Version#:1.16.5.1488
Player Version#:7.20.0.11992(a0514e20)

Hello,

I have NVidia Shield 16GB

I am unable to sync the movie to my Android cellphone. In the logs, I always see the “low disk space” message. This does not happen when I sync a TV show episode, as they are usually smaller.

Warning — Low disk space: 5.97GB source file, 11.05GB capacity, 3.22GB available on "/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.plexapp.mediaserver.smb/cache/Transcode/Sync+/25131840/dd"

I have set up the Transcoder temporary directory to a folder on a USB drive,
/storage/DCCA-4606/NVIDIA_SHIELD - I can see that the /Transcode/Sessions/plex-transcode-xxxxxxx folder was created inside NVIDIA_SHIELD folder, so it’s writable, but empty.

I remember being able to convert big HD movies with this custom Transcoder temp dir location, in the previous version of the Plex server. I was happy to update it, to see that hardware transcoding acceleration is now working again, but looks like a new issue has arrived. Does anyone have any idea how to fix it?

When I optimize the movies to the desired quality - optimizing works and new media files appear in Plex Versions folder. If I try to sync an optimized movie - it seems to work. Although the “Download” progress circle in Android app always shows 50%, eventually it syncs. But syncing without pre-conversion - still fails
