That article is the only thing with instructions. There are other posts here in the forum discussing them, but I don’t have a reference to anything specific handy.
To obtain the database from the Shield, you will need to move the Plex appdata to a user accessible location. There is an option form the Plex client to do this for the server. https://support.plex.tv/articles/moving-server-data-storage-location-on-nvidia-shield/
Once that is done, you can then access that location from your Mac using https://support.plex.tv/articles/220347688-accessing-shield-storage/. You then put the file back using this method overwriting the old one.
Damaging your database is not something that typically happens and sometimes doing a repair can cause more damage. Or depending on the amount of damage, can result in a lot of loss of data. This si not something you’d want to happen with a click of a button.
