Ah found it. I see this has been changed in a recent version. I’m checking with the devs to see what’s going on.

Any update to this?
Have two Servers, Ds918+ and Shield Pro 2019
Watching on the same Schield Client. Ds918+ has Chapter preview, Shield Server doesnt.
Chapter are created on both.
And other clients do show the chapter preview from both servers.
So there must be a problem with Server and client on the same Shield.
All, Servers and clients have latest beta.
best regards.
sorry for my bad english
@anon18523487 any word from the devs on how to generate an index file now that -b is deprecated.
Sorry, I never got an answer, let me ask again. You can still have PMS do it for you. Is that not a solution for you?
I do let PMS generate index files at the time media is added and as a scheduled task. However for some reason one of my media files has an index file for a different media file so i needed to force generate and recreate a new one. However when i use command line to generate, it doesn’t actually do anything anymore so i think it’s more than deprecated.
For now i just did the Plex dance (remove, refresh, empty, add, scan) to get it to regenerate the correct media index file but i would like to know what the new method is to force a media file to be generated (if it is possible at all anymore). Thanks for following up.
