Nvidia shield pro playback problem

“an error occured while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again”

I have been going crazy trying to figure out why one 2 of the 15 players accessing my server are receiving this message. The message is transient as sometimes it comes up and then after a reboot it goes away. The logs aren’t showing me anything that I can understand when I try to analyze them but I could really use some help. My shield is also connected to an HDfury arcana to ensure proper HDMI passthrough. I am running everything on eARC to my 4k LG tv (2017).

The video will play for a little bit, then start to buffer every minute or so, then every 3 seconds, then will stop completely for a few minutes, winding up with the popup saying “an error occurred while attempting to play this video”
