Nvme cashing

Ok since I’m new to the PlexPass I have a few questions.

-My upload is 50mbs, download 400mbs.

My movies Drive is 12tb WD Red plus 5200rpm. All my movie are about 2gb 1080p MP4.

Series are on another drive 4tb WD blue 5200rpm. All my series are between 2&4gb 1080p mkv.

My question is about sharing
How many can stream on my server at the same time?

Is there a way to use a nvme SSD to increase reliability for streamers?
Some sort of hidden space ultra fast, with high bandwidth. Plex could have a reserved drive like that to increase it’s potential.

My guess is with slow mechanical SATA drive if more that 2 stream at the same time it could start to buffer.

I want to invite friends but if it’s bad on their end it will make me look bad. Then if it’s not reliable what will be to point to this PlexPass.

If I downloaded or surf the web it will surely not do anything good for friend that stream.

Depends on your server and the clients and if the video is being transcoded or not. It’s hard to say without actual real world usage.

You can move your transcoder folder to there to help with transcodes but files that are direct played will come straight from the original drive the video is stored on.

Keep in mind that drives are typically rated for speed in MB (megabytes) not Mb (megabits) like your internet speeds. A physical spinning drive should be able to handle streaming many files. Your internet speeds will most likely be the limitation.
