Official Plex Docker - out of date - please update

When the latest version of plex was released, the official docker container was not updated.

You should be reading the Docker subforum.

That link does not work.

The official plex docker is still stuck on 1.13.4.5271, the current version is 1.13.5.5291.

Anyone from plex able to fix this?

1.13.5.5291-6fa5e50a8 is PlexPass only. 1.13.4.5271-200287a06 is the latest public build available. Only public builds are posted to docker hub because it has no means of restricting the downloads to certain users.

Only public builds are posted to docker hub

This is at odds with what you’ve said in the past:

Not in the least. Only public builds are posted to docker hub.

If you look at the tags, you will see several versions listed as well as latest, plexpass, public, and beta. Notice that plex-pass versions are not listed. The latest tag points to the most recent version. Notice that the beta (plexpass is an alias for beta) and public images are considerably smaller. These images do not contain a build but instead download and install it upon start.

Thanks for the clarification. That explains why I don’t always see update notifications from my docker host (Unraid), even when there was a new plexpass/beta version, but was eventually updated to the new version after restarting the docker. container. (However, restarting the docker container doesn’t always seem to get the update. Apparently the actual availability of the update can lag behind the notification in Plex’s web interface?)

It would be great if this was all spelled out, in excruciating detail, in one place.

https://github.com/plexinc/pms-docker#tags has this information.
