Official Plex yum repository is consistently out-of-date

Hi all,

Other users of RPM-based distros probably have experience with this. The Plex yum repository detailed in this article is consistently out-of-date. Currently, it hasn’t been updated since May 23rd - putting the latest version available in the repo (1.15.6.1079) 2 releases behind the latest public release (1.16.0.1226).

This has been the case for a while, they seem to update the repo when they feel like it, not when the latest public version is actually released.

Yes, I could install the latest RPM manually but that completely defeats the point of having an update repository.

Plex, please update your repos in-line with the rest of your update methods!

I agree, what’s the point of having a repo if its never up to date?

You’ve already got the package built to be installed manually - why isn’t it reflected in the repo?
