Official PlexConnect Fanart views

Nice job roidy. I just have one suggestion. The space between the top of the gradient and the film title it too small. It seems a bit tight or claustrophobic to me. I think if you increased this margin by about 3 mm or so it would breath a bit more.

Yep, I was thinking the same, will look into it.

Looks like i can't access TV Shows without fanart (In the web there is no fanart). When i click any Israeli show nothing happens (I guess it because of no Fanart).

High level log please..... It should work fine if a show has no fanart, it will use blank.jpg instead.

Any idea to install on Synology NAS?

Elmer i think there are guides to that if u check the new library view thread if am not mistaken

If you are using the latest bwynants installer it should work with fanart.

Is there any plans to get the fan art to show up on the play screen for tv shows?

When you are in the episode list it displays the fanart preplay screen as is shown by @roidy on the first post example pictures. Typically users press play on a desired episode to play a show skipping the "play screen" altogether.

I'm working on it, just need to sort out some alignment issues to get it to look nice :)

I had this implemented on my branch for a while but i removed it due to the annoying fact that they generates a new picture for each episode ex, Stargate - The forbidden..

is there anyway that it can only make one background for each show? so all episodes prepay use the same background instead of generate 24 different one for each season?

its gonna overfill my folder quickly :D

Why on earth would you generate a new fanart image for every episode? The fanart background is the same regardless of the episode so only one is needed.

Episode Pre Play Fanart is now committed

You’re awesome…thanks!

This is needed when the episode titles are implemented via PIL, like it is done in falco's branch. Here is an example for this:

The fanart was working fine for me until commit deaa7c2.

I tried the latest commit (Episode PrePlay Fanart + some optimizations) and all the fanarts are black. Also movies with titles not in English language cant be opened.

Attaching log ( loglevel High) + photos

here are the logs with loglevel "normal"

Also the commit deaa7c2 that the fanart is workinf for me has a bug with the movies that their titles are not in english.

Like i have some movies with Greek text and in the fanartcache directory the image is there but the name is empty   +_1080.jpg but in the movies with english titles is like that Sharknado+2+The+Second+One_1080.jpg

yup that was it.. i se that roidy managed to get around that :)

i don't like that the preview gets so small though.. we had this problem in our versions swell.. i have changed the thumb to parentThumb instead :)

and make sure you unhide(show) movie fanart in movie options..works with win10 preview..

@ NiTruS, where am I supposed to make this change at?

Settings tab of plexconnect on aTV. Tv show options & movie options.

I did check there, but I don't have the fanart option in either spot. did I miss something in the steps?
1.follow the link

2. select and d/l the proper pillow exe

3. run the exe

4. restart plexconnect

5.freakout and restart computer

I also made sure that I updated my Pconnect from the Github repository. should I rerun the .exe since doing pulling the latest updates?
