It would be interesting to show the fanart screen of the current seasonCurrently does not show the current season I'm watchingSorry for my english
My wife mentioned something similar as we were starting to watch a show that was now on about season 3 or 4 and the fanart effectively contained spoilers.
Does anyone know if fanart actually gets tagged with the relevant season (all i can see on thetvdb is a creation date)?

No, thetvdb has only season posters and banners. The fanart is always for the whole show, not specific seasons.
In plex/web you can set a custom background for a season, but i don't know if plexconnect even uses this images.

If you hold down the select button on a TV show or episode then one of the items in the contextual menu is to change fanart (it pulls these from the PMS).
Unfortunately it seems then that this cannot be automatically done for seasons, unless someone knows something different.
Guess we need some more specifics/logs then :)
Oh and reboot the ATV just to make sure the issue doesn't disappear.
Rebooting doesn't work..
What logs or other would you like?

See the bottom of the wiki page here on reporting an issue with a more detailed log from PlexConnect.

Can you give an example of two shows that have the same fanart, to avoid going through the whole log please?

It only applies to one show so far..
'Whose Line Is it Anyway' has the same fanart as 'Grimm'
Just ran into some more..
'The Flash' has 'Stalker' fanart and 'Hawaii Five-0' has 'Haven' fanart.
thanks
The log shows Background/Fanart just twice, for...
- Whose Line Is It Anyway? Season 10
- Matt Barnes, Episode 20 of the above
How am I supposed to find equal backgrounds, if the second was not touched at all.
Please, delete all jpg files in PlexConnect/assets/fanartcache/, restart PlexConnect, browse to the two shows with identical backgrounds, and repost the log. Thanks.

Hopefully that is what you wanted.. thanks. Side note - in the fanart cache folder the correct fanarts are downloaded..
thanks
Ok, here is the thing:
Whose Line Is It Anyway
Should be fixed - grab the latest code and try again. :-)
I'm running PlexConnect directly on my Jailbroken ATV2. Is it possible to install Pillow on the device itself? If so can someone to point me to either instructions or prebuilt pillow binaries that I can use. Thanks!
The problem will not be with Pillow installation but that it requires firmware 6 (iOS 7) for artwork to be available in the Apple firmware so until a jailbreak happens for that or later you will have to live without artwork, if running PlexConnect directly on the device.

Ahh thanks! I must have missed that.
