OMV, Docker - Plex does not open films outside the local network

Hello,

I have a problem because I can not run Plax outside of my local network. When I try to launch a movie, whether on the web version of a plex or on an application, it’s just a circle and the movie does not start. In the “Remote access” settings everything lights up green and I have a message that I have fully available outside my network. Both after selecting a manual port, as well as when marking this option, Plex outside the network has the same problem.

Do you have an idea how to deal with the problem, because my ideas are over.

Hardware:
Raspberry P3 b +
Internet provider: Vectra

  • Router 1 - Arris tg862 (is configured by Vectre as Bridge)
  • Router 2 - Asus RT-AC1200G + The Router is connected via the Rasberry P3b + ethernet port.
  • Asus is hooked to Arrisa

Software:

  • Plex Server: Version 1.16.3.1402
  • System: OMV 4.1.23-1
  • Installation via Docker

Make sure the client is able to direct play the content.
It would surprise me, if the Pi would be capable to transcode video material.

You have two options:

  1. use another device as the plex server (intel nucs are great!)
  2. convert your video to a format that matches your bandwith limit and can be played from all remote client devices. You will find plenty of threads to this topic in the forum.
