I’m looking to see if anyone can shed any light as to why my plex server keeps crashing? The process is still live in task manager but there will be no response when requesting any connection from any platform, local or remote. A quick process kill and restart will bring everything back online. These crashes are frequent but also completely random. It could be a few hours or even as long as a week or so before it crashes again.
I have added my logs below to see if anyone has any ideas. I’ve had a quick look but I don’t really know what I’m looking for.
It’s a long shot, but you are getting a webhook error buried in a lot of mostly harmless errors about device defaults.
Nov 12, 2022 17:14:57.998 [11076] WARN - [Req#32964e] Webhook: Error delivering payload to https://maker.ifttt.com/trigger/plex/with/key/idxIWAyjQLw5VKBUlmbFT7ZuJH_iSfy5z1cprZeYP3d >nul 2>&1: 401
You might try removing that plugin and seeing if the issue continues.
I didn’t see any database corruption that I figured would happen when you killed the process. The words malformed or corrupt were not in your Plex Media Server.log
It’ll be hard to diagnose unless you can narrow down when it crashes or if there’s a specific activity that’s occurring like a certain video or library scan etc.
