OpenPHT on Android TV box?

Happy new year to all

I realise the answer to the question is probably no, but I’d like to know for definite. I have seen some good Android TV boxes on offer and rather fancy one. However I really dislike the Plex Android app and the new Plex media player interfaces. Is it possible to put OpenPHT on an android box?

Thanks

Get yourself a Raspberry Pi and put Rasplex on it, Rasplex is PHT and will lead development by the team, fixes and new features will be implemented first in Rasplex and then transferred to OpenPHT.

Regards

Thanks for the reply. I already use a Pi2 as my player in the lounge, but rather fancy an Android box. I’ll stick with the Pi as I love OpenPHT with the Black skin.

Doesn’t seem like development will be particularly quick with OpenPHT. There hasn’t been a commit on the GitHub in weeks.

Im in the same situation as yourself Geek i have an Android box and hate the plex App it sucks very poor KODI works well. But want something different just for PLEX home theatre thinking going on windows to do it but if there is another way i can have plex home theatre aswell as kodi im all ears. I don’t want plexmbc. Or want to spend a fortune on a NUC windows based just for kodi and home theatre

There is another cheaper option in the ASUS Chromebox’s. You can install PHT on those. Intel Computing sticks also, but not sure if those are out yet.

PHT with Asus Chromebox are a little bit buggy… some non fixed bugs.

Pi2 @ Rasplex is good but slow and it don´t play DTS-HD oder 24-Bit FLAC…

Hi

I have the new Netbox A1 with S912 very powerfull but android inside :frowning: i hate Plex for Android on TV Box because not funny with remote control different on smartphone …

I hope OpenPHT release soon for this small computer

Odroid motherboard run with the last OpenPHT and decode H.265 better than RapsPi 2

Sorry for my bad english
