[RELEASE] OpenPHT 1.5.0

Today the RasPlex team announce the release of OpenPHT 1.5.0, the start of a community driven fork of PHT.
OpenPHT 1.5.0 is based on PHT 1.4.1 and include features and fixes from the recently released RasPlex 1.0.0.

New

  • Play from here, create a play queue starting from selected movie/episode
  • Now plays theme music on episode preplay
  • Option to show shared libraries in main menu on home screen in preferences

Fixes

  • Fix resume and seek when playing a transcoded stream
  • Send stopped timeline state at the end of a play queue or when playback is stopped
  • Restore volume when play speed is restored to normal after ff/rw
  • Fix for crashes when browsing tv-shows libraries
  • Fetch items on sms jump, next/prev letter or first/last page actions
  • Several fixes for filters not loading or displaying correctly
  • Fix advertising as a player on the network
  • Fixes for crashes in dvdplayer and on exit
  • Fix start from beginning option when no trailers was found
  • Fix use of sms jump actions when entering a user pin
  • Fix GetDirectory error when loading music channels

The RasPlex team will maintain OpenPHT and release updates coordinated with RasPlex releases.

@jwaltrip4 it is community driven fork of PHT. Plex will not develop PHT, maybe fix some bugs.

Excellent, just installed and setup with @DeadEyeFlint’s Black Edition.

So far remote control from plexweb seems to work perfect, have missed this for month, thank you.

I would doubt that plex team will do anything now that openpht is out.

I have been trying for weeks to get answers on bug fixes. One bug there for months. Nothing but silence from plex team.

In any event, I can hope that community folks will support. I installed openpht today, and will be trying it soon on raspberry pi

I love the shared content on the home screen.
The only thing that is a little bit confusing is that if there are people in your shared content list that have the same names for sections, let’s say “Tv Shows” , which is the default name, things get a bit confusing to find out which one is which. Is it possible to add an option to change the name yourself? Or, perhaps even better, to select a server like in the Samsung app, or PMP (one of the few, if not the only thing i like about it)
