I just noticed that even that I’m getting a lot of 24h limits reached errors despite the fact I have opensubtitles VIP account with 1000 downloads. I’ve checked the agent settings, user password is correct. Any ideas?
I’m going to answer my own question again because it seems I can get any Plex Developer to answer any of my issues posted here on forum.
Opensubtitles has a counter how many subtitles you have downloaded but it not working. In opensubtitles log you can search for download quota to check how many file you can download.
Hey!
Are you saying that in the Plex agent opensubtitles log (com.plexapp.agents.opensubtitles) you get a warning that you have surpassed the daily quota, even though you have a VIP account? Can you paste a snippet from the log which leads you to believe that (would love to see the entire log actually)? I am not distrusting you, I want to have something to take to the Plex devs while you talk to Opensubtitles about your account. You need to talk to them about it as I do now know which one is at fault.
Hey,
Yes I have seen message about surpassing daily quota which is apparently 1000 subtitles/day. That I didn’t know.
It might be due to the fact that I’ve added over 5500 episodes at once and I was downloading 4 subtitles per episode.
Open subtitles profile shows how many subtitles you have downloaded but I don;t think is working properly because even when Plex was downloading subtitles it was showing 649 for a very long time.
Recently the counter went up:

I’m trying to get in contact with opensubtitles admin in order to clarify how this counter works.
The only solution for now is to search logs for “download quota”.
I will try to find the logs and post them here.
Yeah, that counter might very well mean 655+482 downloaded subs. Which is a bit over the 1000 sub limit.
I don’t think it’s a daily limit. It looks more like a lifetime one. I thought it’s 655 downloaded, 482 out of those not rated. I might be wrong here that’s why I’m waiting for reply from admin team.
I can’t find the logs at this point.
No. It is daily. This is from their own site:

Yes you are right @atrus limit is daily but I meant the counters.
Anyway I think we can call this issue closed because who adds 5500 episode on daily basis?
@atrus I got response from opensubtitles admin, the counter is life time. Even I’ve downloaded over 2k subtitles is still showing 500+. There is no other possibility to check daily usage then agent log.
