I sport a huge lossless library and want to get rid of iTunes once and for all.
It would be great (just like with video files) to be able to create an “optimzied” version of my lossless files for mobile devices.
I know that I can transcode my music and provide mp3/m4a version in a different folder.
It would still be very convenient to be able set up a sort of a shadow optimised version with a preset bitrate and let Plex do all the “keeping it synchronised” in case the lossless library changes.
That’s exactly what happens when you use Mobile Sync.

You can set up a Sync job that keeps itself up-to-date.
You could for instance Sync the last 100 recently added songs to your mobile phone.
