An option to send a WOL packet upon starting an android client app would be great. This would resolve the issue of waking a windows server without the need of using the WOL app first.
IIRC Plex will wake up your server when opening the app or accessing a library / library items from that server. That’s at least what I experience when opening the app.
I learned I might have mixed this up based on how my host OS is configured (e.g. waking up on any traffic vs. only specific WOL „magic packets“).
That being said, there’s an existing feature suggestion discussing that in some length for a wider range of server/client platforms. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting votes.
