Can we get the WOL magic packet sent out by the Plex clients (Roku,Fire) so I can save money on my idling server. Electricity is only getting more and more expensive and power saving hardware and software has only gotten better.
Would love this on ANY Plex app, for any platform
I am voting too. This has been discussed many times on this forum with loads of suggestions, but many are complicated, need a master’s degree in computer science or have to use several apps before opening Plex. I would like my server to save energy and go to sleep and wake up automatically when accessing it from any app. Currently I use Andriod, Amazon Fire TV and a Roku3.
We are all trying to do our bit to cut our carbon emissions and also electric bills, I believe this is a very important feature to have.
