I could not agree more. I like to turn on House while I work around the house (haha, I just realized how funny that sounded just now!), and I’m tired of hearing the intro, I just want the show to start.

I check this thread every few months hoping for some traction. Still nothing! I mean this is literally a single if-then statement. If “always skip intros” is checked, don’t show the “skip intro” button and just skip the intro. Clearly people want it - cmon Plex dudes! Make your amazing product even more amazing.

I would at least like to know if there is a legit reason they don’t work on some of these “quick and easy” fixes to quality of life.

Seriously. If Plex were actual FOSS, instead of closed source that’s surely composed of 99% open source code, I’d have added it myself by now.
Sometimes it seems the whole point of proprietary products is that you can string your customers along, making them wait and pay for each little improvement.
Since the skip intro feature already requires a plex pass of not only the server owner but also every single user that wants to use the feature, I guess they have to invent a higher paid tier in order to add simple features like this. There Plex Pass Pass!
Meanwhile more and more people are passing on Plex. Not the only show in town anymore guys! Please compete with Emby and JellyFin!

I’ve been tracking this for some time now waiting for the day auto-skip or a user configurable setting is added.
However, I know there are other issues where audio falls out of sync after skipping (at least with my nvidia shield plex client) and know that it would be annoying to have to rewind to get it in sync again.
Regardless, the option is still requested to give us the choice.
