I think we need an option to force playback of pre-roll to all clients connected to our server. It would be a useful tool to have if we need to announce down-times or changes etc.
Pre-roll is not the same as Trailers so it shouldn’t matter what the actual trailer setting is set at the client’s end.
Also, its an OPTION to enable forced pre-roll or not, depends on the admin/owner of the server and his needs and requirements.
Search first if the request has already been posted before. The goal is to collect the votes for a particular feature in one thread - not to scatter them around.
