Before anyone posts how terrible this idea is: I am asking for an OPTION not an enforced default setting. If you don’t wish to treat your users to a message, that is fine. I have valid reasons to ask for this. Please only discuss the request itself here.
Here we go:
A long time plex-pass owner, I have recently set up a 10-second pre-roll video that I would like my shared users to watch before any video they watch. (Movies, Shows, Home-Videos).
At the moment, pre-roll videos only work with movies. Also pre-roll is only reliably shown on clients that have trailers enabled. This defeats the purpose of a pre-roll message for me.
Only on my android device, even if trailers are set to 0, the pre-roll shows when starting a movie.
At the very least I would like pre-roll to show on all (capable) devices: at the very least Plex Web/Android/iOS.
From my understanding of its implementation this should be possible (as with Android: if trailers = 0 still show pre-roll).
I hereby request: an Option to force my pre-roll on any Plex video (even if trailers are disabled)
PS: If that is not possible on Kodi/3rd party clients I do not care. For the main plex clients this should be possible, however.
