Option to install plex as a service instead on windows

Get an option during the install that Plex media server is installed as a service so it runs even if you do not logon to the server.

In addition to the guide posted by Otto… there’s already an existing suggestion asking for Plex to add that option. If you still want this (beyond the guide), please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Unless we’ve been missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

[Popular] Create Plex Server as a service (Windows)

Hi, I would like to see Plex Server created as a service on windows, this way you could have the option of starting Plex Server when you turn on the PC. You don’t have to login to an account. It is great when the power goes out, etc… when the PC powers up so does all the Plex goodness. I am not sure if you can do this for Mac and Linux but I am sure they would love it too, if possible.
