Orphaned Server I Can't Seem to Remove... Maybe?

Hey all. I’ve been using Plex for a few years now and as my media collection has grown I’ve changed hardware and migrated the install to different systems. I’ve always followed the guide for migrating without issue how ever after my latest migration I seem to have an old server of the same name stuck on my account.

The strangest part is I only see the old server on my Rokus and Android Apps, not in Web App. On those platforms I have one server that works as expected and one with the same name that shows “Testing” as a status? I can’t connect to it or seem to remove it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

If the old server is not showing anymore in https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/pms
then the best way of getting rid of remnants of older servers is to

  1. logging out from your plex account on the affected device
  2. restart the device
  3. [optional: uninstall plex app]
  4. restart device
  5. [optional: install plex app]
  6. log back into the plex app with your plex account credentials
