'Other Videos' but for music

Currently stuff like podcasts, audiobooks or songs that lacks metadata to begin with doesn’t really fit well into plex. You can always use a Music tab but this creates a lot of headache with false matches that you have to manually edit.

So what I’m proposing is exactly Other Videos but for music. Allow music to be structured in the exact same way, don’t retrieve any metadata and utilize the folders instead of albums.

There’s an existing feature suggestion discussing the addition of such a library type. I recommend you comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting votes.

Alternate Audio Library

I would like to have a place to store my alternate audio files. I have some saved audio books, sermons, recordings, etc that I do not want to put in my music library, but want to make available on my Plex server. We have a place for ‘Other Videos’, but not for ‘Other Audio’. Thank you!

You can create a music library and use the Personal Media Artist agent. Then things won’t try to match. That’s what I’ve done for my audio books.
