Better support for Music and Audiobooks

I have a large music and audiobook collection, and have lovingly tagged and organized everything using MediaMonkey. But I love to play music on Plex at home, and Plexamp in the car/phone.
Classical music is of type “Classical”, audiobooks are type “Audiobook”, and so on. It would be great if Plex supported those tags, instead of trying to do its own metadata lookups. You wouldn’t even have to create a new Library, but just enhance the way that the Music library works by adding another level of filter. By the way, Plex ignoring existing tags is annoying - the new AC/DC PowerUp album shows as if made by a different band, even though the file tagging is identical. Same issue is what makes all my audiobooks unusable on Plex.
Given the number of issues logged under “audiobooks”, I’m surprised the devs haven’t addressed it yet…

Support for audiobooks

remember the play position for audiobooks also. especially now as it is possible to sync them and take them with you. [Edit Mod] This post is also asking for an audio book specific library type separate from music library. While remembering position is part of a Music library, Audiobook could help with other features like chapter selection, books covers, publishers, etc, which is not possible in a Music library.

By Composer

I don’t know how popular this req will be but music section is lacking browsing “By Composer”. This is, IMO, a necessity for classical music.

Create a Library with Sub Libraries

I’d like to suggest expanding the library creation/management process. I’ve been collecting movies and music for almost 30 years - migrating media from VHS to DVD to Digital or vinyl, 8 track, cassette, CD, DVD to digital. For users or collectors with such large libraries and if you are like me and have a NAS or more, your library and collection can be very large. For Example Movies. Currently I have almost 3500 movies. The are currently organized as follows on a sinology DS1812+ Video\Movies…

You can already configure your library to prefer embedded metadata and files over online media sources.

I suggest you comment/vote in those instead of creating a duplicate suggestion which will result in votes being dispersed/distracted (also sticking with the guidelines for the feature suggestions forum).
