Out of the blue remote access to my Plex Server changed to "Indirect" only

Server Version#: 1.20.4.3517
Player Version#:

I was watching a show on PC while another one was running on Apple TV when both stopped working.
Checking the server status I can see it changed from the green lock to Indirect. If I turn off the relay option, it is definitely not available.

It used to be UPNP only, I have tried:

  • Port Forwarding (Open Port Test finds port is open)
  • Setting a DMZ for the server machine IP
  • Turning off IPV6 (read in a thread it could help)

It’s driving me crazy, there was no update of configuration prior for it to stop working nor any update on the clients or server side.
I also don’t understand why can’t the client “find” the server in the same LAN, I think it used to say something like “Nearby” before.

I don’t see anything useful in the logs but I’ve attached it anyway, in case it helps.
Can see the relay being set to active, bunch of connections failing.

Would appreciate any help.

So whatever it was that changed it has to do with wi-fi.
Been messing with every option possible in the router in terms of forwarding and fixed IP’s and nothing solved it.
Same for config changes on the Plex server. (but why would it, I guess)

Switched the ethernet cable from desktop (one of the clients) to raspberry pi (server) and my APTV has access again (second client).
So out of nowhere PMS stopped working over wi-fi. I should have it wired to the server for a matter of principle but the Pi was handling it well over wi-fi that I just left it. Guess no more.
