Override.conf vs symlink (Solved: Database fragmented every day)

using a symlink from hdd to ssd and did not speed up much.

read in Customizing your Plex configuration that the prefered method is to use override.conf.
is there really anything of a difference?!
could symlinking be problematic?

thanks

That’s a vague question / statement / assertion.

I need a lot more information (logs help) to understand.
It might not be storage media at all. The processor itself might be an issue; the database might be fragmented; many things are possible.

you read my logs a lot of times the past 2 weeks  but did not found anything.

still searching for the issue. thought maybe symlinking could be it.

Update: LOL
Just as i already thought; it’s the database. I have to “optimize database” at least once a day to make plex run smooth.
I’ll cronjob the cli command to optimize-database from now on.

But i would strongly suggest to kind a “fix” the scheduled optimization to allow “daily”.

This could have saved me around 2 Years of frustrating Plex-expierence, just because the database couldn’t keep up.
