Odd, nothing transcodes to my shield. I play 4k HDR content to it just fine. But I did tell plex to allow a higher H.264 profile than the default, maybe that is why?

I have two shields and both direct play almost everything apart from old avi files.

It’s audio. Truehd and eac3 so far specifically. But if I force them, it works. But then breaks the firetvs. I just want the ability to set my profile however I like, considering the force direct play option was removed. Then yes, seeing as we can run a limited server on the shield, it would appear to make sense to have a dedicated profile.
