With a large library it would be great to have pagination added to the category pages. Example, it’s October and I’m watching a lot of horror movies. When I go to my list of horror movies it’s huge. I can scroll but I can’t pick a letter and jump to it. As I work my way through the alphabet it takes longer and longer to get deeper into my library. Plex already uses pagination in the regular browse page so adding it to categorys should be simple.
I wonder… in what app are you missing this?
I’ve just checked the new-experience mobile app and „good old“ Plex Web… Both seem to display an alphabet index for categories of a certain size.
Edit: or are you asking for an alphabet index of the categories themselves?
On the android app you can grab the slider and see the letter on category but in the roku app it’s just a slider bar with no letters. Roku catagory
Once you enter the category and go to the actual movie list. There’s nothing on the right but a slider.
Thanks for sharing.
So this is primarily about the new-experience Roku app.
Interestingly, the pagination / alphabet index is available in the tvOS preview ![]()
Yeah it’s always been missing on the roku app. Probably not an issue on smaller collections but kind of a pain on larger ones. It’s something small and easy to miss.
