Soliciting support to add function to collections and categories that will allow users to jump to the bottom or top of the collection and/or category list. A button that when selected, the list will scroll to the bottom or top of the list no matter the number of items in the list.
Edit #1 - To expand, when using Plex on a TV inside a collection or category, there’s no scroll bar or function to get to the bottom of a collection or category list. The only option I’m aware of is to use the navigation arrow on the TV remote.
When using Plex on a Samsung TV, inside a collection or category there is no scroll bar. The only method to move in the list is the TV remote navigation button.
Plex for Windows has a scroll bar but not alphabetized
Plex for android TV and HTPC has no scroll bar at all
A basic feature like this should be uniform across devices and apps
Arguably, you need the alphabetized scroll bar more inside of an app you use on the TV because you’re using a remote instead of a mouse. The mouse is much faster for scrolling
This is one of the reasons I switched to HTPC recently. You can scroll much faster with the remote to the bottom of the list compared to any android app I’ve used on the Shield or Fire TV
I’m not suggesting you use HTPC, I’m just using it as an example. I realize this is not a cost effective option for most, especially as a workaround for a feature that should already exist
Navigations of large collections is a ‘big deal’ in my book, I’m using collections more and more.
Wish you could also have collections across tv libraries also, but that’s a whole difference feature request.
The whole collections needs filtering and sorting and right hand subnavigation like regular movies/tv shows IMH… there would be less need to scroll at all if it had this. #missing obvious feature
