I want to be able to keep content for kids but with one click they can switch back to my profile and content. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
PIN protect your login. A PIN will be required to switch from the kids profile to yours.
A PIN is not needed for the kids profile.

Check entries in Settings → Network → List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth.
No Authorization = No login required = No enforcement of restrictions.
