Pin lock for adult or mature content

Loving plex, have load of kids TV and movies on there with standard stuff. would be ace if I could block the mature films from my kids, so if they wanted to access a folder with mature films it would ask for a pin…

just a thought.

Why don’t you create library for you and another one for kids. Give them access to content that suits them. With time you can enable the library with mature content for them.

Not sure how you have things set up, but if the kids have their own account, you can restrict what media is shared to their account. Then put a pin on your login so they can’t access it.

Thanks, I guess the best way would be to set up a log in for the kids as they mainly watch everything in the living room, I watch on the xbox or PC, and then will just share the kids stuff on that account.

Well, this way partially solves the problem, however, my kid (is a 2 years old) toddler sometimes comes to our bedroom and wants to watch his movies with me and my wife all 3 together in the bed, so this setup wouldn’t hide the mature content from him while selecting his movies (as I would use a different user on my bedroom but the content will still show up in the dashboard for this account, my kid can’t select the movies himself yet but still I don’t want the content to show up there.

Also, keep in mind that I use Plex mainly on FireTV devices (so on TV set) and not on mobile devices. On mobile devices I simply sync the content locally (using Plex of course) because that way my kid can see movies when we are outside home without consuming my data plan.

When he comes in to watch his shows with you, simply switch users on the device your using to the account you created for him.

I still think a pin lockable folder or library would be a great feature . Yes I see ways around this .but a work around feature would be much nicer . This is about the users right ?
