EDIT: That feature is implemented for the Web Client.
Unless I’m blind, I think it would be neat if we could resume from where we stopped when playing long featurettes. It doesn’t seem to be a feature.
There’s an 87 minutes documentary in the Oppenheimer Blu-ray and I had to classify the file as a movie so I could watch it in numerous sittings. I would much prefer to keep the documentary as an extra. (Yes, I know it could make a collection, but it would feel wrong.)
Did I miss a setting? Does anyone want this implemented? It could be a toggle.
You specifically mention “long” featurettes (extras). Do you see your desired behavior for shorter ones? I do, at least in the web app (I’ve not tested on other clients recently).
This is a music video associated with a movie as an “Other” extra in my movie library, PMS tracks progress and the (web) client offers the options to start from the beginning or resume. For what it’s worth, this video is ~7 minutes long.
I don’t have anything with a greater duration to test at the moment.
I’ll need to test on the Web client because I just tried with a few extras (others, deleted scenes, interviews and I-can’t-remember-anymore and it didn’t work.
Thanks I’ll keep that in mind. I’ll probably set it to 100% and use the “skip credits” button or something… It’s very nice that this feature was already almost ready to ship.
I’ll put the documentary back in the Featurettes folder once I’m done with it.
