Path to index file on info screen

It would be really great to get the path to the .bif file for a particular movie from the info screen. I have one that seems to be messed up and it is very difficult to track down.

I fully agree with you here, and when that's said, here's howto locate the folder:

In Plex Web Admin interface, select the movie in question, and look at the url for it

It'll look something like the following:

http://myserver:32400/web/index.html#!/server/SOME_LONG_LINE_OF_NUMBERS_AND_LETTERS/details/%2Flibrary%2Fmetadata%2F217982

If you look @ the end of that line, you'll find the ID of the file within PMS

So hit the following URL in your browser:

http://:32400/library/metadata/217982/tree

Above will return an XML page, that looks something like:

<MediaContainer size="1" identifier="com.plexapp.plugins.library" mediaTagPrefix="/system/bundle/media/flags/" mediaTagVersion="1375307090">

<MetadataItem id="217982" title="MY Movie title" guid="com.plexapp.agents.imdb://tt2XXX934?lang=da" index="1" originallyAvailableAt="2014-02-12">
<MediaItem id="171322">
<MediaPart id="173306" file="/share/MD0_DATA/Video/Nyt/movies/maj/myMovie/mymovie.mkv" size="5864819656" openSubtitleHash="d13afee7c812edfb"hash="90e67144ee24e05435d0b48e117528b6764196e4">
<MediaStream id="182992" type="3" url="file:///share/MD0_DATA/Video/Nyt/movies/maj/mymovie/mymovie.da.srt" codec="srt" language="dan"/>
<MediaStream id="183430" index="0" type="1" url="" codec="h264" language="eng"/>
<MediaStream id="183431" index="1" type="2" url="" codec="dca" language="eng" channels="6"/>
<MediaStream id="183432" index="2" type="3" url="" codec="" language="eng"/>

And the bolded hash is the key here.......

When you look in the file-structure below your Library directory, you'll find:

Library/Plex Media Server/Media/localhost

First character in the hash is for the top directory, and the remaining for the next directory

So in this case like:

Library/Plex Media Server/Media/localhost/9/0e67144ee24e05435d0b48e117528b6764196e4.bundle

Thanks - That is MUCH easier than what I did to find it... I am actually not sure I could repeat the crazy steps I used to find it.

You are welcome, and hope that some Ninja would pass by this thread, and turn this into a support article, cuz that would indeed be nice  :ph34r:
