Pause instead of ducking audio?

For the most part I’ve been very happy with using the Plex Android app and Plexamp to listen to podcasts. However, after using it in the car I discovered that it just ducks/reduces the volume of the audio when Google Maps, etc. give voice instructions, instead of pausing. This is infuriating while you’re driving, as you have to then pull up the app and rewind every time it happens. From my research it sounds like this is up to the player. Is there any way to accomplish this, or would a new setting have to be added? Would be great for “music” libraries as well since I like to add audiobooks and radio shows and listen to those in a similar manner.

Thanks!

This is a must-have feature for audiobooks and podcasts. Interruptions can be frequent when you’re also listening for voice instructions. I’m probably going to cancel my Plex Pass membership as Plex is unusable for audiobooks without automatic pause/resume.
