Would really like Plex mobile app (in my case on Android) to auto pause any playing content while apps like Sat Nav are broadcasting/talking, then auto resume afterwards. Just like the Audible app does.
Otherwise as viperomegax said in his Pause Playback When a Driving Navigation Voice Prompt Occurs thread you can miss and have to frequently manually re-wind particularly Podcasts and Audiobook content so that you don’t miss key content.
So implementing this would actually be a safety, as well as usability, improvement as it would avoid the driver having to take their hands away from the wheel, and attention away from the road, to fiddle with their phone and look to skip the audio backwards…potentially each and every time Google Maps, Waze or other app made audio announcements over the top of Plex playing audio!
Likely best added as a setting in app’s options to keep all happy? But suspect the majority of Plex users would welcome this auto pause and resume function enabled by default?
And would help bring Plex Mobile App up to the polish of apps like Audible when it comes to using audio in the car.
