So I decided to try the Plex app on my Xbox Series X on my LG C9 and I was surprised at how smooth and fast the UI was and loading anything. MASSIVE improvement over the TV’s app.
I was also pleasantly surprised it was passing thru TrueHD which the TV app cannot do.
I was just gonna say, if the developers could try to port the functionality to directstream PGS and ASS subtitles like it does in the TV app that’d make the plex on xbox almost perfect.
I was also hoping to see dolby vision but I guess that’s a pipedream that will never happen. I’m not sure what DV level I’m talking about but whatever is mostly used on .MKV files. Wish we could someday get that. Be it for Xbox or WebOS.
Yeah, the Xbox app would probably be the ultimate Plex experience at this point, if it wasn’t for the poor subtitle subtitles. Really don’t enjoy having to just hope that the subtitle format because HDR will not work at all otherwise…
Alright yeah, DV support would be nice as well. Supposedly it’s supported but I guess it just doesn’t work for now.
