Last time I had to delete my whole photo libraries when Plex wouldn’t let me view my pictures in their original qualities. What Plex does is degrading the details of my vacation pictures. After buying a HD camera for over $2000, get a server with 32TB hard drives, paying ISP for good upload/download speed, traveling expenses so I can take home unforgettable memories in form of pictures.
Note: The problem was before the new Plex update with newer design.
It’s one thing to reduce the quality of movie posters, but creating a picture library for viewing on Plex with family and friends shouldn’t have to be reduced close to the lowest possible qualities. I want my pictures untouched so I can view them in the same quality. Details are very important, especially those vacation pics.
I have to admit Plex latest Media Server app and Plex app are as close as we would have wanted. I would say they’re closely met our expectation. It would have been a standing ovation if there was Right Click and Open File Location while browsing library on the network. Back to the reducing pictures qualities. It may have been fixed. But I don’t want to create pictures libraries and nicely organize them again, only to find out Plex altered the viewable qualities again; which I’m asking now. Are we now able to view our pictures in photo library in their original form?
Thanks
