Hi,

I have hundreds of photos. These were collected before we had Plex. Each photo is in a folder, which is intended as an Album. Individual photos have the cameras default name like “IMG_123456”.

However, in plex, the folder information is lost, and we just have a mass of “IMG_…” names. How can I get plex to show them in an album-organised way? I can’t face reneming all the photos we have individually!!

Thanks

Not sure which Plex app you are using. click on Library at the top then view by folder.

Thanks Bigwheel

That’s exactly what I wanted. Only started Plex yesterday, so sorry if it was a newbie question.

Sorry, back again.

So that works great on the PC, but I can’t do the same thing on the player. This is on a Sony smart TV (so Android) using the app downloaded yesterday, so should be the most up-to-date version, I guess.

Anyway, I can click on the Library button at the top, but there is no way to select “by folder”, that I can see. There is a button next to the Library button that says “Albums”, but when I click that it is empty.

Any further assistance would be appreciated

On the next line under that you should see the two menus below it. the filter menu that is defaulted to ALL, and sort menu that I think is defaulted to Date Added . Click on the sort menu and Folder should be one of the choices.

OK, great, that’s it

Thanks for the handholding Bigwheel

These are all surface level folder. Is there a way to see subfolders?

If you are in folder view the sub folder should be there

top level of my Mobile photos library with folders in it.
