I am a newby to plex and have setup each of my home photo folders as a separate library having only discovered that “albums” i.e. subfolders can be used as an alternative.
So my question is, what should i use? Libraries or albums?
What do you use and why?
On this topic. I have my photos organized into directories on the server and they were nicely organized into those directory names in the library. However after a server update, the library is all different, I can only organize by year/tag etc, I cannot organize by my directory/folder name any more … what gives? can’t find anything now …
Change the view from Timeline to Photos.
I don’t seem to have that option, all I see is:
What version of Plex Web is that?
Version is 3.7.0, Server is: Version 1.3.4.3285
I think you may need to update the server. When they were rearranging the UI, I think the Folder view may have gotten lost for a version or two. In the current Plex Pass version, the choices are “Timeline” and “Photos,” and “Photos” matches your folder structure.
