Photo library thumbnail caching | Loading Performance

I would like to make the photo thumbnail previewing as smooth as possible, is there a way to change the cache settings for the thumbnails.

OR does anyone have any ideas to make the thumbnails have near no loading at all when scrolling through images.

I am thinking of Iphone experience here, where you can scroll as fast as you want and every single thumbnail has 0 delay.
