I’ve been a Plex user for about 4 years or more now and I still think it’s an brilliant every time I use it just as much as I thought when I first installed it.
I have always used raspberry Pi for the TV clients, ( I have 4 of them ). And I’ve always used the RasPlex. Yesterday a Memory card in the living room Pi died (rasplex installed). I thought i’d try the official PHT image for the raspberry Pi, something I’ve been meaning to do for a while now.
The UI is alot slicker and seems faster on the Pi 3 than rasplex. The only problem I have is the screen saver. We have our family photos on the plex server (freenas). and rasplex would display random images from the albums. Although it’s not Plex’s purpose it is however a ‘nice’ feature to have in the living room. I’ve put rasplex back on it for now.
Is there any plans to introduce more control over the screen saver?
