In the new Plex app for Android mobile (2025.16.0, Oppo A9 2020), whenever I try to use Picture in Picture for a while and then switch back to fullscreen, the media I’m playing will no longer allow me to select any playback options (e.g. pause, rewind, etc). I tap and there’s just nothing. I’m then forced to quit out to regain responsiveness only to find that it’s lost all progress I made while watching it as PiP. This has happened countless times across all sorts of media and it’s extremely aggravating.
This app is basically unusable now with all the bugs and quality of life downgrades, but can someone please at least look into this one? Thank you!
Bumping this for a response from Plex itself. Can I get a confirmation that this issue will be fixed?? I can’t use PiP, I can’t use the Sleep Timer, I’m so frustrated. Nothing works. Is there a timeline for this being resolved and rolled out?
Thank you for your reply, I appreciate your time. I was going to leave this and wait for the new release, but it still hasn’t come to me and I’m at my wit’s end, hence bumping the topic. Hopefully Plex will give some more information.
