I understand how supporting the update button through the web-gui with every OS wouldn’t be awesome but how about letting us do it? Ideally we would be able to set a local path to the script in the web-gui (like we do with custom certs, backups, etc.) as well as a space for us to input a User to run the script under.
Many apps support this feature so somewhat approximate examples should be plentiful. As it is now, logging into the server to manually run a script isn’t bad but it’d be great for the Owner to be able to set the user and path to the script so when we hit the update button it would trigger that.
Cron jobs are also great but things change, so do file paths and having the manual control to read a changelog and decide to apply an update would be most excellent. Plus it would help people on platforms other than windows.
