Linux update via web management

Having an ability to auto update and/or have a few clicks in the web interface with linux instances of plex media server is something that is needed and has been for some time. While automated updates are nice to have available as this feature is lacking from the linux versions I would be more happy to be able to click within the web interface to handle an update.
It could download the update to the actual plex server instead my workstation which then requires me to scp the file to the linux system.
Then it could run a sudo command when I want to handle the update (yum or dpkg) and interactively ask for my password to pass to the sudo command.
The web interface could also have a list of available versions along with a couple old versions. This way I can decide which version I want installed and if needed can revert to an older version should a problem exist.
