Play button not recognized by voice access in plexamp

I regularly use voice access on my android phone when driving to play things from apps.

When using the voice command “tap play” in several other apps, it automatically recognizes the play button on the screen of the app as play.

However, when I use the voice command “tap play” when in plexamp, it responds “couldn’t find play”.

Please fix this. Plexamp is just about unusable in the car if the play button can’t be recognized as a play button.

I think many/most cars offer play button via Bluetooth or Android Auto, I assume your car doesn’t have any such thing?

No, I do not. I simply have a bluetooth receiver tucked away that has an analog out hooked up to an analog in in the back of my car radio, so that my phone automatically pairs when the bluetooth receiver is powered on with the car.

I need to control all phone apps from the phone.

I would expect the inability for voice command to recognize the play button in an app would fall under an accessibility issue, as I’m sure there are many that would rely on controls to be able to recognize the play button as a play button.
