This happens to me as well.
Also having a problem where the dashboard doesn’t display track progress accurately, and posted about that a few months back (no replies).

Alexa Music Streaming Progress in Dashboard

Recently, when streaming music through an Alexa device, the Plex dashboard and Plex Dash app do not show the correct status of the track playing. Current artist/album/track/etc display correctly, but the progress bar and elapsed time are always incorrect. Even after playback is stopped, the dashboard will continue showing that the last track is still playing for a few minutes before disappearing.
